The Beach

Greenfield Beach is a compact bay beach with white sand and the characteristic crystal-clear turquoise water of Jervis Bay. The beach is sheltered from prevailing winds and the water is usually flat — making it an excellent swimming beach for all ages. Rocky headlands on either side provide snorkelling opportunities and shelter the bay from ocean swell.

Facilities

Greenfield Beach has good facilities for its size: a small car park, public toilets, picnic tables, and BBQs. The facilities are well-maintained by Shoalhaven Council. On summer weekends, the car park fills but is much more manageable than Hyams Beach — arriving by 9:30am is usually sufficient to secure a park.

Snorkelling and Rockpools

The rocky headlands at either end of Greenfield Beach offer good snorkelling for older children and adults. The water clarity is excellent and the reef structure harbours a good variety of fish species. Rock pools are accessible at low tide on the northern headland.
